The University of Chicago offers myriad meal options for your summer conference needs. Guests can find multiple dining options, including but not limited to:
All-you-care-to-eat dining option for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a dining facility. The summer dining facility will be split between two dining halls. Cathey Dining Commons will be open from June 16th at dinner through July 1st at dinner. Baker Dining Commons will be open from July 2nd at breakfast through September 21st at dinner.
In addition to requesting a meal plan, summer conference guests can purchase Maroon Dollars for use in the multiple cafés and shops on campus. Maroon Dollars allow guests to use their campus ID card like a debit card, swiping their card at a café’s register, and subtracting the dollar amount from their account.
Maroon Dollars are accepted at any dining facility on campus that is opened for the summer – at the dining hall and at retail locations where á la carte meals are available.
All unused Maroon Dollars expire at the end of your summer conference program. Maroon Dollars are non-refundable and non-transferable. Taxes apply to Maroon Dollar purchases.
